If you have an iPod, or Phone then you could say and record all of your notes onto that (Voice Memo's on Apple Products), and while you are waiting in the car or in a queue, you could listen to it like a song! It sticks into your head, and it makes it much more fun! Good Luck with your revision!! LOL
For any sort of writing in a general English class it is recommended to read your work out loud because this way you will be able to spot any misspellings or grammatical errors. Also, come back to your work a day or two later. This gives youre brain a chance really look at the paper, not what is supposed to be in the paper if you were to proof-read it immediatly after you completed it.

It really depends on how you learn or remember things best! Personally i write what i am trying to revise over and over again untill i can write it from memory, or write a rhyme to remember it.
To revise a paper, read questions carefully and try to understand what is being asked. Refer to a book or class notes to get the steps to work out certain problems (if mathematical).
Read whatever you wrote backwards for spelling errors, and read what you wrote aloud or have somebody else read it.
