and wet-types (like the consistency of dog food)

Hermit crabs generally feed on Hermit Crab pellets (avaliable at most pet stores) but they also like fish flakes and tiny pieces of fruit. I have found that mine doesn't eat much but tends to drink more of it's fresh water.
