holographic (aka shiny)
if the person was talking about playing cards, it could mean holo (holographic) and rare.
Usually, "holo" Pokemon cards have shiny material where the picture is while the rest of the card is normal. "Reverse holo" just means that the box with the picture in it is normal card material, while the rest of the card is shiny. http://img.mercadolivre.com.br/jm/img?s=MLB&f=85802026_1525.jpg&v=E Here's an example ^
Yes, you can. Often they come in the booster packs. Usually 1 per pack but sometimes you can get 2, it is just dependant. Also, if you look in a store you can get Pokemon tins, these usually have a window in the front offering a promotion holographic pokemon card dependant on which generation it is. Otherwise, if you wish to purchase a particular holo pokemon card, then use an online site such as ebay, they tend to have ebayers offering quite a vast amount of holo or reverse holo cards.
As of 2014 the average value of a Holo Bubble Man card is between 3 and 4 dollars in good condition. These cards can be found for sale at locations like eBay.
1. Holo is short for holographic (not a hologram), and it is a color (not a color but sort of silverish) that shifts into rainbow colors. Try searching up holographic on google images. (I tried putting a photo of holo/holographic in this but I couldn't...) Some people that love holo (this holo not the anime holo), says holo when saying Hello/Hi. Example, person: Holo! 2. Holo is an anime character (I think).
Théodore Holo was born in 1948.

When you are going to fly somewhere where it shows all the planets you have been to click on one and a small picture of a holo plan is at the bottom of the screen, if there is not one it means you don't have it. Some planets do not have holo plans. There are 13 holo plans in total.
The stem "holo-" means whole or complete. It is often used in words to indicate entirety or wholeness.
Holographic cards (or "holos" for short) can be identified by the card image's shiny and reflective background.
Shadowless cards cannot be 1st edition, therefore it is a fake, sorry
It is highly unlikely. The cards were mass produced, and thus never had a strong value to begin with. Also, other fads overtook the Pokemon craze and dampened its appeal. Furthermore, they aren't regarded with artful prestige (like many antiques) nor do they present any cultural significance (like baseball cards), so the only cards that will be worth money in the future will most likely be holographic 1st edition versions of the Base set, and then only with select cards such as Charizard. Also, controversial cards (such as the non-edited Jynx or the naked Misty card) may fetch a deent value. Your best bet is to find individual sellers who are seeking the cards you have and negotiate for the best.
