Plants remove Carbon Dioxide [one of the major "Greenhouse" gasses] from the atmosphere, and release oxygen into the air so a large rainforest will continually refresh the atmosphere.
Answer 2Rainforests also provide homes to many amazing species of plants and animals, some of which are not found anywhere else on the planet. If that's not a good enough reason to save the rainforests, I don't know what is! And also to save the gorillas.
Tropical forests regulate global and regional climate-systems by acting as heat and water pumps. They release moisture into the atmosphere which returns to the ground as rain. When the forest is cleared, the water cycle is disrupted, temperatures frequently increase, droughts become common place, and eventually deserts could form. Tropical forests have been described as "the lungs of the Earth". However in matureforest, storage and release of carbon is in balance. Carbon-dioxide consumed during photosynthesis is equalled by that released when organic matter decays. A standing forest acts as a store of carbon. On the other hand, when forests are burned or logged and the debris left to decay, carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.
Plus a rainforest can act like giant sponges, soaking up moisture, and then releasing it slowly. This moderates the flow of rivers thus preventing flooding and ensures that rivers and streams continue to flow during periods of lower rainfall.
Within a rainforest are a massive divers windlife structure. With these forests being cut down or just burned the wildlife lose their natural living conditions, the food chain suffers and the life starts to end. This has in the past led to exinction of many species.
As a very clear example. Tropical forests cover only twelve percent of the land-area of the Earth, yet they are home to between 50 and 90 percent of the world's species. Because of tropical deforestation, at least one species is disappearing every day. This rate of extinction is now 400 times faster than at any other period in the history of the planet.
it gives life to the plants or any organism on the earth
EDIT:
The rain forest is make of many trees. These trees provide homes for wildlife. Also, the trees take in carbon. This reduced the affect of global warming, which is when too much carbon is trapped in the air, causing it to trap too much heat on earth.
Actually, the trees suck up all the water so other plants can't grow, but also they create a shade in their canopy that helps some animals survive... that's all i know
cause you are gay
they provide rainfall
Trees produce oxygen which is what we need to breathe. When I say we I mean humans because I assume you are a human. Plus the rain forest and other forests are fabulous parts of nature that we would never want to destroy. But most importantly, rain forests have so many trees. Whole species live in the rain forests and can not be found any where else. Many medicines have been discovered in the rain forest so the rain forest is an important part of the Earth.
bees are important to the rain forest because they bring pollen from lower to the higher parts of the rain forest and the make more plants
There are no crops grown in the Amazon rain Forest. A rain forest is an area of land covered in Trees and plant life to have a farm land in the rain forest would no longer make it a rain forest.
The rain forest precipitation is greater that 150 cm. Rain forest precipitation is basically how much rain falls and collects on earth.
Rain is only important on Earth
rain forest
This would kill us....
No it is not
Tropical rain forest
They are both on planet Earth.
n
heck with the rain forest
