If I read the question right - we do not worship buildings. From all I have seen if a church building gets leveled by a tornado the next Sunday is the largest service on record in attendance. Christianity is one of those beliefs where the more you persecute it the more it grows and prospers. Ask the Romans.
Important sites Christians visit - all the resting places of the Apostles. The empty tomb where Christ was for 72 hours. Jerusalem greater and all its sites Christians flock to. Paul's Basillica. Sisteen Chapel. The list could go on and on.
Basically the building in which Christians worship is called a "church", although some call the building a "temple' or a "house of worship". The building itself is not important, but what goes on inside of the building, which should be worship, prayer, singing, teaching, fellowship, etc.
Christianity does not recognize a specific place or building as a dwelling place for God. (as many other religions do) All Christian houses of worship are important, but none are more Holy than others. There are, of course, many historically and architecturally important Christian buildings.
The important parts of the church (Christianity) are the cross, Bible, Jesus, God, worship and praise.
Christianity does not dictate the circumstances of worship, so Christians can use any kind of building or no building at all for worship. In Christianity, believers themselves constitute a new temple, one not made by human hands but by God himself. Therefore Christians worship in buildings for comfort and convenience only, not for any religious or theological reason.
About 2.6 Billion people worship Christianity.
A mosque is a building for Muslim religious worship. It is important as a place of prayer and communal organization for the local Muslim community.

The official place of worship for Christians is the church. The Jews worship in a synagogue.
Anywhere you like! You can go to a church as well, and worship with others.
There is no set sacred building of Christianity. Most people would answer this question with the answer "the Church". But the church is simply a building that the people gather at for worship. I would say a more correct answer would be the human that has Christ Jesus living in their heart, that is the temple of the Lord. The human that contains the Holy Spirit inside of them is the "building" that represents the holy God that Christians serve.
