In our solar system; Inner planets are planets that have an orbit which lies within the asteroid belt. Outer planets are planets which have an orbit which lies outside the orbit of the asteroid belt. The asteroid belt lies between Mars and Jupiter. Therefore the inner planets would be in order away form the sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. The outer planets in the same order are; Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
Inner planets are mostly rock and outer planets are mostly gas.
The main difference is that the inner planets are smaller and are nearer the sun te outer planets are after the earth starting with Mars and ending with Pluto.
Inner planets. are inner & outer planets. are outer
Rotational time of the planets is random (the length of the planet's day), but the outer planets do spin faster than the inner planets.
The inner planets are small, the outer planets are huge in comparison.The inner planets have rocky surfaces, the outer planets are gas giants.All of the outer planets have rings. None of the inner planets does.All of the outer planets have several moons, some of them quite large.
the inner orbit faster
The inner and outer planets are The same because The Inner planets are not made out of gas The outer planets are bigger than inners The outer planets are the coldest The Inner planets are rocky The inner planets are terrestrial The outer planets can't support life The inner planets have iron cores The outer are the furthest from the sun The outer planets haveno rocky surface
the outer planets are gaseous and the inner planets are not
the inner planets are closest to the sun and the outer planets are farthest from the sun { Answered by a grade 4 student}
There are a lot of differences between the inner and outer planets. First of all, they inner planets are also known as the "Rocky planets". THey are rocky, hence their name "Rocky planets". And the outer planets are also known as "Gas Giants." THey are mainly composed of gas, hence their name, "Gas Giants." Another difference is their mass. The outer planets have greater mass than the inner planets. In other words, they are heavier.The inner planets follow orbital paths which, like those of the outer planets,are centered on the sun. But the inner planets, without exception, are nearerto the sun than any of the outer planets are.

because inner planets are hot and outer planets are cold
