Mountains
A landform that rises more than 2000 feet, 610 meters above sea level to a narrow peak is called a mountain. As the elevation continues to reach higher, the climate become colder than at sea level.
Nepal has the highest average elevation among all countries, with an average elevation of about 10,715 feet (3,266 meters). This is largely due to its location in the Himalayas, where many of the world's highest peaks, such as Mount Everest, are located.
Rhode Island's landforms include coastal plains, sandy beaches, and salt marshes along the coastline, as well as rolling hills and forests inland.
