There aren't any 'plants' as such, only experimental rigs. This is an attempt to see if lasers could be used to produce fusion. The idea is to focus a very powerful laser beam onto a small capsule of nuclear fuel and see if the intense heat produced will produce fusion. See link below

What is the cost of a Laser implosion fusion plant?

There is no commercial type of such a plant which has a sale value attached, it would be entirely a one off experimental piece of equipment so only those directly involved would know this.

Which of the following processes uses lasers?

Inertial confinement fusion

What types of nuclear bombs are their?

Uranium "gun" fission bombPlutonium "implosion" fission bombUranium "implosion" fission bombComposite (Uranium/Plutonium) "implosion" fission bombBoosted fission bombDeuterium/Tritium "wet" (cryogenic liquid) fusion bombLithium Deuteride "dry" fusion bombClean (reduced fallout) fusion bombDirty (increased fallout) fusion bombMany of these overlap or can be combined or altered in various ways, for example the so called "neutron bomb" is a type of clean fusion bomb designed to emit unusually strong neutron radiation at detonation. Also any fusion bomb needs some type of fission bomb "primary" to set it off.

What are some changes that happened with lasers throughout the years?

Is fission or fusion the source of energy in the bombs dropped on hiroshima and nagasaki?

On fission we have an atom splits into smaller parts. On fusion we have two or more atomic nuclei join together. In implosion-type we have objects are destroyed by collapsing on themselves. The little boy used fission using uranium and the fat man was an implosion-type device using plutonium.

What Laser are not a part of any of these processes except for?

Inertial confident fusion

How did the hydrogen fusion bomb utilize the atomic fission bomb?

The fusion bomb is triggered by the fission bomb which is triggered by chemical explosives. It is a two or more stage device:Detonators on the chemical explosive lenses of the fission bomb are fired. The chemical explosive lenses reshape the explosion to an implosion. The implosion shock wave compresses the subcritical pit of the fission bomb to supercritical.A neutron source is fired through the supercritical pit causing uncontrolled fission.X-rays from the fission bomb travel through a radiation channel the length of the fusion bomb, causing a radiation implosion of the fusion bomb. The implosion of the fusion bomb compresses and heats its Lithium Deuteride fuel and Plutonium "sparkplug" rod running the length of the fusion bomb. When the "sparkplug" becomes supercritical, neutrons from the fission bomb arrive causing uncontrolled fission.Neutrons from the fissioning "sparkplug" cause the Lithium in the fusion fuel to produce Tritium. The mixture of Deuterium and Tritium, caught between the radiation implosion and "sparkplug" fission explosion is compressed and heated until it undergoes fusion.High energy (15 MeV) neutrons from fusion cause fission of Uranium-238 in the tamper, which provides about 90% of the yield of the bomb.

What is laser driven fusion?

The light emitted by a laser has an associated energy (Energy = Plank's Constant(times)frequency of the light => E=h*f). If the energy is high enough coupled with amplification techniques this energy can be utilized the induce fusion of the fuel. The fuel can be Deuterium-Deuterium, Deuterium-Tritium, Deuterium-Helium(3), or Hydrogen-Boron. The fusion of these atoms leads to product atoms and the release of energy.

How do scientists hope to use lasers in nuclear fusion?

TO initiate fusion process very high temperature of the order of 100 million kelvin is needed. Such a high temperature could be produced by laser beam if it is used in a different technique. That is why sciectists rely on laser.
