There are a few different types of religions that are practiced in Venezuela. The main religion is Roman Catholicism (about 70%). Most native people of Venezuela took up this religion except for those who settled in remote areas whom believed in their tribal beliefs. Venezuela has a celebration for Catholics that they call Holy Week. Holy week starts April 5 and ends April 12th (during Easter week). People come from all over Venezuela to give thanks for all of their answered prayers. Many people in dress in purple tunics, and some go as far to re enact Jesus way to the cross.
