Miniature schnauzers are generally a healthy breed, but may suffer health problems associated with high-fat levels. They're prone to overeat and become obese. We never leave food out for our schnauzers, that is, we never let them eat all they want. We control their portions to keep them trim. Also, some are prone to schnauzer bumps, pus-filled bumps, usually on their backs. Our schnauzers haven't had this problem, but it's fairly common.
