They get recycled
A recycled mobile phone generally gets refurbished and resold to developing countries. If they are not refurbished, then they are recycled like any other electronic, with all the components removed and incinerated prior to going to a landfill
Basically, This is a huge advantage for mobile phone companies because all they really want from recycled mobile phone's are the components. This can save save them millions because, Mobile phone recycle firms are funded by the government and then parts are sold to the mobile phone companies who then re-uses the material to design new mobile phones. Thats the proccess really.... Hope you Liked my Answer! xXx
The plastic casing can be recycled - as can most of the metallic components !
Almost all parts of a mobile phone can be recycled indefinitely. The outer case is usually plastic, the metals used in the circuit board can be recovered, and even the battery can be reconditioned. Recycling takes less energy (and resources) than producing products from raw materials.
They melt the mobile and use some parts and shape them into something else.
I would have too recommend envirophone.com, it is a great website where you can get decent money for your old mobile phone. Also parts of your phone are recycled which is excellent for the environment. I think you should try this website and see what you think about it, and if you dissaprove then there is also a great website for phones called mazumamobile.com. You can get a good deal and it is quick and easy.

There are lots of places where you would be able to recycle your mobile phones. Most electronic stores would be happy to take any old mobile phone that you want recycled.
You certainly can recycle mobile phones! There are actually several ways a mobile phone COULD be recycled. How you choose to recycle your cell phone may depend on what shape your phone is in when you recycle it. If your cell phone is still in a usable condition with few scratches or dents in its body, you could donate the phone to charity or your local church where it would be reconditioned and either sold or given away in a third world country. If your cell phone does not work, but still appears to be in good condition otherwise, you could give the phone to a reconditioning shop or the original manufacturer so the phones component parts can be salvaged and re-used to manufacture cheap reconditioned phones or the parts themselves may be sold by themselves. If your cell still works but is in terrible condition, the whole phone may be reduced to its component parts, the parts added to similar parts from other phones, melted down and new component parts made which may be built into a totally new phone!
the put lots of different parts together and put in a battery the out side case has to be durable and has to protect the parts on the inside of the phone.
