What does a psycholigist do?
Psychologists work in a wide range of fields. For instance, there are: educational or school psychologists adult educational psychologists sex abuse psychologists psychotherapy psychologists cognitive behavioral psychologists employment/industrial psychologists child psychologists Educators research and many more The list is endless. Their jobs vary with their area of focus. Generally speaking a psychologist provides feedback to their clients so the clients can improve their life situation and emotional state. For instance a child psychologist may work with children in order to assess behavioral issues and recommend appropriate treatment, or s/he will work with the child her/himself for corrective behaviour purposes. A psychologist has to have a Ph.D. in their field of specialization.
