What are opinions on IPAC star?

From my experience IPAC is not a scam. I attended an event last summer (2008) and it was great. All of the industry people I met there were legit... they even had the president of the talent managers association scouting talent. Don't think all these talent scouts would attend if it was a scam. It was also nice that there were less talent to compete with. Not like the thousands at IMTA or IPOP. Their price is also far less then IMTA and IPOP as well.

IPAC (Int'l Performing Arts 'Conference') is a subsidiary under BARBIZON, out of San Francisco. They are a legit modeling school, which is not a scam. It's the METHODS which are used to lure young people there and manipulate parents for money ... and, in my case a senior seeking PT work. When they auditioned me over the phone for VoiceOvers, it took nearly 3 hrs! And the name Barbizon was never mentioned. I wasn't interested in modeling! I couldn't reach anyone at the phone numbers given to cancel (9 mos in advance), so I disputed the Visa charge of $1,000 down-pymt. Payment was reversed. They disputed it and got it back!!! Statement had a phone number with a person answering "Barbizon." This went bk & forth for mths while investigating. Then Bank said they didn't want to get involved in legal issues and charged me for it; suggested I file a 'Class Action suit to get it back!' Well, who do I contact to get this going? I was bedridden the wk after they called for 2 months following surgery! Had to work frm bed using a phone. Wish Dateline NBC had contacted me before they aired it in Mar & Oct.
