Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are pretty common and are not sexually transmitted. Typically they are the result of a pH imbalance (often dietary) that allows bacteria to get a foothold. Abrasion of clothing or objects (during masturbation) may also contribute to -- or aggravate -- such an infection.
Yeast infections are another common vaginal ailment. Again, a pH imbalance is usually the cause (a yeast infection in the mouth/throat is called "thrush"). For yeast infections, there are over the counter medicines (creams) to treat it.
