Period pads are pads people use during menstruation.
Pads are absorbent material that are worn inside a menstruating persons underwear to catch menstrual flow as it leaves the body to prevent it getting onto a persons underwear. Pads can either be disposable which are made from synthetics or cotton with plastic backing and held in place with a sticking backing, or cloth pads which are made from cloth and held in place by snap fasteners.
