Best Answer

Policies arise out of legalisation. They provide a framework which ensures that care workers within a health, social care or early years organisation or setting, or across a number of settings, all have the same approach to a task or procedure. the content of a policy will give guidelines on how a task should be done or to whom staff should report in the case of a particular occurrence. An organisation could have a number of policies, all of which are intended to maintain standards of care, to give guidance to staff and to promote the best interests of service users.
