you answered the first part of your question yourself but how they works is [ using Ct as an example] the city/town voter registrars [ Dem/Repub] set up voter polling locations,
appoint a poll moderator [ boss ]
appoint voter machine operators
appoint voter checkers
moderator counts the vote totals on each voting machine
forwards the results to the city/town voter registrars
locks all voting machines after vote tabulation
People vote, usually on the answer to a question or an opinion.
Uh, the same way white people vote - by registering and going to the polls on election day.
People add polls to their forums, which is where you can vote. You just click the bullet next to your choice and clikc, "vote."
You can't take time off to vote. Polls are open from 7-8pm or you can vote by mail.
Um, people in Maryland go to the polls and... vote.
opinion polls have been around longer than social media opinion polls can influence how citizens vote
A place for people to vote can be called a polling station, therefore, polls are part of elections. I wouldn't say that they actually conduct elections, however. People do that, not polling stations.
If you are already standing in line when the polls are supposed to close, you will STILL be allowed to vote. You will be allowed to still vote, no matter how long the process takes. However, if you arrive after the polls have closed, even though there is a long line of people waiting, you may not be allowed to vote. You must already be in line before the announced closure of that polling place.
Polls are set up in numerous locations all across cities, states, and nations in which people may vote. If you mean to ask for the word that means "the right to vote", then the word you are looking for is "suffrage".
