I can't speak for elsewhere, but in Phila., Pa., there was a big thing a couple years ago about the record high number of foreclosures, in the city. A lot of the people were elderly, or had health issues and no insurance , or lost jobs because of business leaving the city. These are things that can cause homelessness. In Phila.
