Your hair can become very brittle and break easily. Your hair colour can fade very quickly. There are some minor fixes you can do to solve porous hair issues, a protein filler used when you dye your hair (usually applied right before, or mixed in with the dye if you are using professional dyes) and a cuticle sealer, cut off the worst of the hair that is very weak. When dyeing the hair, stay away from permanent colours, lots of peroxide or lighteners (bleaching), don't perm your hair. Some changes to diet can help strengthen newly grown hair, as well as reducing the amount of chemical or heat processing you put your hair through. Also, changing to a gentler shampoo and conditioner, not washing your hair every day (or even every other day) can help also. Basically the overall risks are having hair that thins, breaks, and looks all around unattractive. But, like I said, there are fixes.
