Schist is commonly used in building buildings. However foundation issues occur and it is not safe to use anymore. The joints weaken and crumble so this is no longer a practical use.
Schist is a high-grade metamorphic rock.

Shale
They are all metamorphic rocks.
Schist comes from shale. It is laminated , flaky, and found in parallel layers. The minerals in this rocks that have crystallized from the parent rock are visible.
Schist rocks can be both permeable and impermeable, depending on factors such as the size and arrangement of mineral grains, the presence of fractures or faults, and the level of metamorphism they have undergone. In general, schist rocks tend to have higher permeability compared to other metamorphic rocks such as gneiss or marble.
foliated rocks, defined as "metamorphic rocks with parralel layers or "bands". three examples of these foliated rocks are gneiss, slate, and schist. three examples of foliated rocks are schist, gneiss, and schist.
"Foliated" rocks are usually metamorphic rocks like phyllite, slate, schist, and gneiss.
Granite and Mica Schist.
Four of the metamorphic rocks are gneiss, slate, marble and schist.
Not sure what you mean but a few types of Metamorphic rocks are: Marble Slate Phyllite and Schist.
