the short term effects of being high include a slowed perception of time, short term memory loss, an enhanced ability to become sidetracked by random things, and a delayed reaction time. (in my own personal experiences on top of the things i listed, it felt like my vision was vibrating at the peak of the high.) Other side effects include redness of the eyes, (or being "cashed" as a slang term) dryness of the mouth, (cottonmouth) induced hunger, (the munchies) and if you are a prolonged smoker yellowing of the fingertips.
There are none of either because marijuana is not bad for your body to a degree that you can see effects of short and long term. Possible laziness?
