What are skills used by scientists?
Some of the skills needed by scientists include the ability to classify items, especially living things, communication, taking accurate measurements with the correct equipment, and creating models. Additional skills are observation, comparing and contrasting, and collecting and organizing data.
Five skills scientists use to learn more about the world are: Observing - Using one or more of your senses to gather information. Oberservations may be qualitative or quantitative. inferring - explanations or interpretations of things observed classifying - grouping items that are alike in some way making models - creating representations of complex objects or processes predicting - making a forecast of what will happen in the future based on prior experience or evidence…
Measurements are important not only to scientists. And not all kind of scientists need measuring tools. Measuring instruments are mostly used by engineers, technicians. Engineeers use mostly calculators, it is their main device. There are test laboratories, telescopes, microscopes, a wide range of sophisticated equipment used by scientists. In fact measuring intruments are used by all technicians, engineers, and a lot of scientists on their respective fiedls.
