It depends on the region. Some where the traditional Afghan Clothing and some where suits. Mostly in cities they where the suits. In other region they where the shalwar kameez.
In Afghan languages, you can say "Happy Birthday" in Dari as "Tavalodet Mubarak" (تولدت مبارک) and in Pashto as "Zmaa Da Zangay Khabaree" (زما د زنګی خبرې). Both phrases convey warm wishes for someone's birthday.

As I undestand, Tashakkur means thanks. It is used in Turkish language and I also saw some references mentioned in Farsi and Afghan languages. Though in Turkish it is used as, "Thank you", I believe in Farsi and Afghan language it is has more a generic meaning of thanks than "Thank you"
