I read a book about Hanneli Goslar (Anne Frank's childhood friend) and it said that she got Jaundice which was a very bad disease which many people died from. Her skin turned yellow, but she knew it was mild. Also, once the Jews became liberated, many starving people ate too much and died from diahrrea. Many people died from starvation and unsanitary conditions. Lice was another thing that spread throughout many people. Hanneli's lungs were diseased when she had a check-up by the doctor after Germany surrendered.

Some unethical or misinformed people have tried to claim (falsely) that most of the Jews that died 'just got sick and died'. That would be a lie. It was murder, not the bird flu.
