Chamber of Chat is a an entirely Free Harry Potter Virtual World. It was specifically made for Harry Potter fans by a game company called ISO Interactive (which they are also big Harry Potter fans). It is actually one of the best because it allows you create your own little person with lots of clothing options, adventure around different areas, chat with fans, cast spells and lots of things. It even has a very larger amount of moderators that make things safe. The quality of the game is about the best on the web.

HOL - Virtual Hogwarts is a community and an online school, based on the ideas of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. It is not a role-playing game, though it has some role-playing elements. It's main focus seems to be on the myriad of classes available.

VirtualHogwarts is a long-running forum based Harry Potter RPG. With sorting, classes, dueling and quidditch games for members to take part in. A spin-off from a fan-fiction site, that grew and morphed into an incredibly detailed and well-organized RPG. Heavy emphasis on writing and character development.
