depends about how rich you are and where you live, in towns and cities chavs/shams are common with working class youth so are punks (skaters hardcore skinheads) in the country sub cultures are very common, most youths are just into sports etc. wearing whatever comes into pennys (a common budget clothes shop) in rich areas of dublin (south east) or belfast they act American or English and wear all designer clothes (there called d4s) that's it, youth subculture isn't as common in Ireland, probably for the best, alot of the youth are just like a mix of everyhting and listen to all kinds of music, towns with most chavs and punks would be the working class towns (north and west dublin, limerick, drogheda, dundalk, north cork, derry and belfast)
