Any Jew with a tatoo cannot be buried in a Jewish Cemetery. Although it's true a Jew is Biblicaly prohibited from getting a tattoo, it does not prevent him from being buried in a Jewish cemetery

The Torah is meant to be taken literally: Abraham and Moses (for example) were real people, the Exodus actually took place as described, etc.

The same goes for the laws and discussions of the Talmud.

However, there are some stories in the midrashim and the Talmud which are allegorical and which none of the commentaries understands literally. When the Talmud, for example, (Bava Bathra 73b) tells of a fish whose eyeball provided three hundred barrels of oil, it is meant as a non-literal parable and is explained in many ways by the commentaries who gain different lessons, allusions and mystical information from these narratives.
