Hermit crabs have a shell that covers their body so when in danger from another under water predator like turtles they quickly enter their shell. This is a form of adaptation because it shows how this animal adapts itself to the the under water environment by having a shell to go under.
Saltwater animals have adaptations such as special glands to excrete excess salt, streamlined bodies for efficient swimming, and camouflage to avoid predators. Some animals have symbiotic relationships with other species to help them survive in the harsh saltwater environment. Ultimately, these adaptations help saltwater animals thrive in their ocean habitats.
Some animals mutate creating adaptations that make them more successful than other animals. through these adaptations natural selection weeds out the least adaptive to change and thus you have some animals more healthier, stronger and smarter than others.
