Do you have any spray used for pierced ears? Otherwise lukewarm salt water. You can also use alcohol wipes.
If your jewellery is starting to look too long for the piercing the piercing is migrating and will open up at some point and drop the jewellery out.
If your jewellery is starting to look too long then your piercing is shallow and starting to migrate and will at some point in time fall out of the piercing.
No, injection and topicals tend to swell the navel area and bugger up the tissue so that getting the piercing aligned properly is a pain in the neck. Why bother the perceived pain of getting the piercing done is at a point that you want anesthetic for it, maybe navel piercing isn't for you.
All navel piercings are crooked to some extent. Now if yours is completely lopsided then it would be best to take it out and get it repierced.
It really varies from studio to studio, some charge for the jewellery over and above the piercing. Your best bet is to call the studios and ask them.
Lose some weight? Buy a smaller Barbell?
You can keep your navel piercing until you start to show, then see your local piercer and get a flexable barbell put into the piercing. It's call a PTFE barbell and it will allow for the piercing to stretch without tearing the piercing. However be sure you are getting a PTFE barbell and not some other material. PTFE is biocompatable and will be accepted by the body without issues, I have used these for hundreds of my clients without problems.
Some people scar but i didnt It was Red for a while though, but a couple weeks after i got it it went back to normal
It is possible, but actually rare. Even people that dont have a very defined navel "lip" can still get a navel piercing; it is what you call getting a shallow piercing, meaning there is not much skin to pierce through. I have seen successful healing with shallow piercings, and I have also seen some that are not so successful. Talk to your piercer about whether or not it is a good idea for you to get one.
Well I am going to assume you have a navel gem or a bent barbell and the ball is sinking into the top hole of the piercing (this is because your question wasn't clear enough). That would be a sign that the piercing jewellery is too short for the piercing and you are going through some swelling. You should get into your local body piercing studio and have the jewellery changed as soon as possible, left unresolved this can cause serious issues for your piercing. All piercings discharge during the initial stages of healing, this discharge matter needs to be washed away daily so the piercing can heal. If the matter is left and not cleaned away the piercing can swell and become infected. Aftercare is a daily requirement and not an option, it needs to be done every day to maintain a health piercing. If the jewellery is too short it can block the entry and exit points of the piercing stopping the piercing discharge from draining and thus causing further complications to occur.
Professional body piercers won't pierce a navel that has been injected or had any form of numbing agent applied to it. Numbing agents bloat the tissue making the piercing alignment more difficult and the piercing process more trouble some. Navel piercing done by a professional body piercer is quick simple and next to painless, if you really want the piercing get it done but don't make the piercers job any more difficult than it already is.
