it depends what you want to do on it. if you just want to play some games and listen to songs then i would get the 8gb but if want to download movies then i suggest get the 16 or 32gb.

Not if the app says that it's not iPod touch compatible. Some apps can work on iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, but some will only be for one or the other.
