Mercury is the innermost planet. Being closest to the sun, it is continuously pummeled by the solar winds. It is barren with extreme temperature differences between the day and night sides.
The orbits of Mercury and Venus are between the sun and the orbit of Earth. That is different from saying that Mercury and Venus are between the sun and Earth, which is often not true.
The planets located between the sun and Earth are Mercury and Venus. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, followed by Venus before reaching Earth.
Mercury and venus
The main differences between the inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars) are their size, composition, atmosphere, and proximity to the Sun. Mercury is the smallest and closest to the Sun, Venus has a thick toxic atmosphere, Earth is the only planet known to support life, and Mars has evidence of flowing water in the past.
the ansewer is not gravity. Gravity is what keeps it around the sun. you see mercury has linear motion, which just means it is going strait. if the sun had no gravity mercury would simply fly past the sun and out of the solar system. Also if mercury had no linar motion it would simply fall strait into the sun. so.. it is the balance of gravity with mercury's linear motion that keeps it in orbit around the sun.
All the theories have Mercury and Venus between the Earth and the Sun.
The force of attraction between the Sun and Mercury is governed by Newton's law of universal gravitation. The magnitude of this force is determined by the masses of the Sun and Mercury, as well as the distance between them. Due to its proximity to the Sun, Mercury experiences a strong gravitational pull towards the Sun, causing it to orbit in an elliptical path.
Currently October 08 no planets are between Mars and Venus. Two planets can pass between them Mercury and Earth although in the case of Mercury Venus and Mars will also have the Sun between or nearly between them.Earth!!!!!!!!
Mercury is a planet and the closest to the sun in our solar system, while the moon is Earth's natural satellite. Mercury has a thin atmosphere and no moons, while the moon has a very thin atmosphere and orbits the Earth. Mercury is rocky and has extreme temperature variations, while the moon is also rocky but has no atmosphere.
