FIRE!
Last I knew, the deserts had the same four seasons as any other biome - summer, fall, winter and spring. The change of seasons in the desert may not be as pronounced as in some other biomes, but it does occur. Of course, some people seem to think the desert has only two seasons - hot and hotter!
Flash flooding can occur in the desert after a heavy rain.
During a sandstorm in the desert biome, strong winds would pick up loose sand particles and blow them around, reducing visibility. Sand particles can erode rocks, damage vegetation, and impact animals' ability to find food and shelter. Over time, frequent sandstorms can contribute to the shaping of the desert landscape.
