Some problems in the fresh water biome are pollution (caused by humans), bacteria (medical problems) and over fishing. Some examples of pollution can be industrial waste, oil leakage or just plain littering.

Countries with desert biomes include the United States (Southwest), Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Egypt (Sahara Desert). These areas have dry, arid climates with low precipitation and sparse vegetation.
Actually, the Arctic is not really a desert. Most of it is sea ice and those parts that do occur on land are tundra which is a distinctly different biome. The Antarctic is a true desert, however.
It would be covered in sand and eevrything would be brown sand color just an inferance................ :)
The lithosphere is where earthquakes occur.
Tornadoes can occur in almost any biome, but appear to be most common in grassland regions.
If a desert suddenly experiences a big rainfall, flash flooding can occur.

Last I knew, the deserts had the same four seasons as any other biome - summer, fall, winter and spring. The change of seasons in the desert may not be as pronounced as in some other biomes, but it does occur. Of course, some people seem to think the desert has only two seasons - hot and hotter!
