If something is made of only one element, then it is an element. I do not believe that you will find an everyday item that is a pure element! :)
Some items are :
hydrogren is in a class by itself on the periodic table because it was the first element. as the first element it is also the most common. it only has 1 proton and electron. that is why it is classed by itself
Hydrogen is the smallest element. It has only 1 energy level. It is a gas element.
No, chlorine is an element, consisting only of chlorine atoms. Common table salt contains chlorine in the form of the chloride ion (Cl-)
Most cans are made from aluminum or steel. I am not sure which is most common of these two. Only aluminum of these two is an element, and this might be the desired answer, but in fact the aluminum used in cans is not a pure element but rather an alloy including small amounts of other metals.
Chlorine is an element, because it is in the Periodic Table. It forms the elemental molecule Cl2 ( Cl - Cl) It is a green extremely poisonous gas. Not found directly in nature , but only as it anions Cl^- & ClO^- etc., in NaCl ( Sodium Chloride - common salt) , and Ca(ClO)2 ( a bleach).
an element consists of only 1 type of atom !
An element consist of one type of atom only but atoms of elements are joined together to make compounds.
A pure element is an also known as a chemical element. Pure elements consist of only one type of atom. Aluminum is the only pure element in the group.
Sodium, Aluminium, Chlorine gas....every thing that are in its element form or only consist of one type of atom is called element.
no it is not :)Oxygen is a pure element or gas. It consist of only two oxygen atoms
Gold is a natural element and therefore only consist of gold atoms, Gold atoms, contain 79 electrons, 79 protons and 118 neutrons.
Plutonium is not a common metal; it is an artificial chemical element, dangerous, expensive and is obtained only in some countries.
Diamond is made of pure carbon
nitrogenous base consist of only three element nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen, so other elements are not part of nitrogenous base.
Einsteinium is not a common element; Es exist only in specialized laboratories and only in amounts of milligrams.
One common one is carbon; it is not the only one.
Plutonium is not a common metal; it is an artificial chemical element, dangerous, expensive and is obtained only in some countries.
