Matthew 5:17-19 'Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill...' The best examples are how He lived every day. He was a living example of how we are to behave in our own lives. Our obligation toward our Heavenly Father and our obligation to our fellow man. He kept the commandments in word and deed. He also gave us a 'new' commandment. We are to love others as we love ourselves. If we do this, we are instantly recognized as followers of Christ.

∙ 10y agoI don't know that he "expanded" them. He basically simplified them -- by saying that those ten come down to two: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these." (Mark 12:23-33, Mt. 22:34-40)
