Some important rules in a Lab are:

1) Don't run in a Lab - If you do you could hurt yourself or other people.

2) Listen to your teacher/tutor/person in charge - so you know what you are doing, and if anything you are doing is dangerous

3) Clean up all acidents - to keep your worksurface lean and tidy. Also tell your teacher/tutor/person in charge of the problem as they need to know!

4) Wear safety goggles.

5) If chemicals get in your eyes, rinse eyes.

6) Do not eat or drink food during the lab.

7) Do not let children or pets into the lab.

8) Do not wear open shoes, such as sandals, crocs, and clogs.

9) Do not wear shorts or skirts. Your legs should always be covered.

10) Never smell, inhale or taste chemicals in the lab.
