Platyhelminthes is a phylum of invertebrates commonly referred to as flatworms. These organisms are characterized by their flattened bodies and are found in a variety of aquatic and terrestrial habitats. Some notable examples of platyhelminthes include tapeworms and planarians.
although most flatworms are aquatic, probably the best known flatworms are parasitic. Tapeworms (cestodes) and flukes (digeneans) are a couple of well-known flatworms.
This is somewhat akin to asking "are birds endangered." Some may be, others aren't. In the specific case of platyhelminthes (flatworms) there are some parasitic ones that we wish were endangered.
The scientific name for flatworms is Platyhelminthes.
