The "pre" in 'prefix' is one. It is something added to the front end of an existing word, thereby changing its meaning, think 'happy' and 'unhappy'. Other examples: mobile and automobile, activate and deactivate, functional and dysfunctional, legal and illegal, assembled and preassembled, market and supermarket.

So making a sentence is easy: 'we went to the supermarket'; I am unhappy that my teacher is dysfunctional'; 'It is illegal to drive this type of automobile'.
