Quarry Hill Creative Center in Rochester,VT. founded 1946-- is a kind of Utopia based on the individual's right to creative freedom and joy; children's right not to be beaten or spanked or denigrated; the right of all animals not to be hunted, fished or tortured, and on the pleasantness of sharing beautiful spaces and appreciating one another's minds and hearts.
It may not be perfect, but for me, for 62 years, it has been as close to Utopia as anywhere on earth can possibly be.

Some book examples of a utopia city are "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, where the city of London is portrayed as a seemingly perfect society, and "The Giver" by Lois Lowry, where the city of Sameness is depicted as a utopia with strict regulations. Another example is "Ecotopia" by Ernest Callenbach, which explores a future society where environmental sustainability is a priority in the city of Ecotopia.
Non-examples of utopia include dystopian societies, where oppressive governments and societal decay prevail, such as in George Orwell's "1984" or Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World." Additionally, real-world places with significant inequality, corruption, and social unrest, like failed states or regions plagued by violence, can be considered non-examples of utopia. These scenarios highlight the absence of harmony, justice, and fulfillment that characterize an ideal society.

Either one, it's a utopia, that's what matters.
You would use "a" in front of "utopia" because "utopia" starts with a consonant sound (the "yoo" sound). Therefore, the correct phrase is "a utopia."
