Some explanations or examples for this law is that when an object is at rest it stays at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. Another one is that an object in motion continues in motion in the same direction unless acted upon by the unbalanced force. Also if the force is zero, the velocity stays constant. This is all for Newton's first law(The law of inertia). There is also the law of acceleration and the law oiprical action.
