According to the Sky website, skygolf.com, the sky golf GPS is currently available to navigate courses in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. By the end of 2011, however, they plan to release the system in many other European and Asian countries.

A skycaddy is a golf GPS system which accurately gives the yardages and the layout of golf courses. You simply download your course and you can instantly see how far you are away from the green/pin etc. It is quite a grey area as to if these are allowed in competition or not, because they are allowed in some competitions, although in some competitions you may be disqualified for using one.

In March of this year owners of the Thomson Sky+HD Box were able to upgrade to the newest version free of charge. A few of the boxes features are bigger storage, Sky 3D, and Sky Store and Undelete.
This depends on what make and model of GPS unit you have; some newer ones claim that they can even be placed in glove compartments and still function, while others instruct you to place it such that it will have a clear view of the sky at all times. When in doubt though, follow the instructions that came with your GPS.
