Muslims don't eat pork, they don't drink wine or alcohol, or consume animals not slaughtered in the name of Allah, or animals already dead.

-- Any foods containing Alcohol (i.e vanilla extract from alcohol is contained in cakes etc.) Some medication contain alcohol, this is acceptable as it is medical purposes, but is best to stay away from it.

-- Any haram (forbidden) meat (meat sacrificed by other methods other than the islamic way)

-- Gelatine (there are vegetarian and halal gelatine that are permissable)

-- Pork (pig)

-- Wild animals/predators (such as sharks etc.) (unless you live in rural areas with food shortages)

-- Any foods containing blood/excretion (i.e Taurine in energy drinks)

-- Anything generally harmful to the body is forbidden too.

* {foods which are forbidden}: The Holy Qur'an, 5:3 - Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah (swt); that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars)...

* {prohibition of intoxicants): The Holy Qur'an, 5:90 - O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper

* (permissibility of seafood): The Holy Qur'an, 35:12 - Nor are the two bodies of flowing water alike,- the one palatable, sweet, and pleasant to drink, and the other, salt and bitter. Yet from each (kind of water) do ye eat flesh fresh and tender, and ye extract ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the Bounty of Allah (swt) that ye may be grateful.

Quran says "Forbidden to you are the flesh of dead animals and blood and the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to any other than Allah, and that which has been killed by strangling or by beating or by falling or by being gored, and that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild beast except that which you make lawful by slaughtering (before its death), and that which has been sacrificed to idols....". (Quran, chapter 5, verse 3-4)

Prophet Mohamed (peace be on him) states also that "forbade the eating of any wild animals with a canine tooth and of any bird with talons." "Wild animals" denotes those which prey on others and devour them by tearing them apart, e.g., the lion, leopard, wolf, and the like; birds with talons such as the hawk, eagle, falcon, etc., do the same.
