im an artist from Deviant art and i use photoshop everyday, for more detailed istructions look for tutorials on deviantart ^^ the best thing i find is to download a filter called Eliminate White, put it into your photoshop and open it, the open your lineart and use the filter, then lock the transparency on the layer and go over it with a large black brush, then make layers underneath to colour on ^^
