I usually read adult books but I need to find a good horror one that is appropriate for me.
I usually like zombies, vampires (NO TWILIGHt),
and hauntings/supernatural.
Some good scary books include "The Shining" by Stephen King, "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson, "Bird Box" by Josh Malerman, and "The Girl with All the Gifts" by M.R. Carey.

Some Goosebumps books that are not as scary include "Goosebumps Slappy's Tales of Horror" which features more humorous and less frightening stories, as well as "Goosebumps The Movie Novel" which is a novelization of the Goosebumps movie and is more adventure-focused.
It's not like, death scary, but it is about a ghost who haunts a cottage where she was drowned in a lake. I liked it, but I don't know if anyone who hates scary books will like it.

Read comic books or scary stories or perhaps mysteries will interest you. Agatha Christie's novels are fun to read and they go pretty quick.

It is based on the little chapter book that's really short and not scary at all the haunting hour. Its not a good movie and the books are really dumb. Look I'm sorry but they try really hard to make it scary and then its just not scary anymore
