African culture (just as well as any culture) and the country along with other countries is essential to study because you learn so much about not only its history, but your history. It does not matter what race you are, your ancestors most likely "played a part", so to say, in this particular area of history. It's just like the African slave trade and Middle Passage. Not only are they interesting topics to know, but teach you some part (most likely) of your history. Any history, good or bad, is wonderful to know.
Yes, and interesting too. Don't be afraid of a little memory work to remember key dates and events.
In the past I would have said that some of the documentaries on the History Channel are interesting (the Civil War series by Ken Burns was excellent). Now I would not recommend History Channel to anybody. I don't see anything listed on the channel that is even remotely connected to history (i.e., Swamp people, brothers etc.). However, History International is great (I have to pay a little more for that channel) plus the Smithsonian channel and National Geographic. And, of course, there are BOOKS. Some are fiction based on historical information, some are just the information, both are good sources. Museums, Natural History Museum, whatever is in your city. I like the films in particular because you can actually see what life was like back then (the films go back several hundred years when the camera was invented). I like to see the clothes people wore, their homes, their towns, what they did for entertainment, you know like Deadwood (HBO). Very very interesting.
Well, to me it sounds like, some people aspire to do great things to make history and achieve, and some people they can't really help it but something that makes history just happens to them, and some people just don't make history. hope my answer helps (it was kind of a guess ;)
An extremely interesting book on world history is "Guns, Germs, and Steel" by Jared Diamond. Unfortunately, it will not give you the "one fact after another" that you might be after, but it instead provides an possible explanation for why societies turned out the way they did.
Some interesting topics for informative speech include how nuclear power works, the history of one's school, or how to dunk a basketball. It also includes how to make a fondant cake, the history of newspapers, and how to change car's oil.
Invasive plants, lyme disease, and the history of Comic Con would be interesting topics.
History, interesting facts, its place in the world of history, where it is today where its going in the future.
Dogs, perhaps?
yp i can suggest some interesting topics for ad making like "green poster printing for your eco-friendly business " and more....
Any that you find interesting.
This would probably be a better query for your advisor. I personally don't think there are any interesting topics in educational administration, but your advisor might.
