This question is not clear. You use MS Word to do those tasks.
MICROSOFT 2007
Office, Microsoft Download Center, PC Utility Kit Microsoft-Update Repair Support are some examples of places where one can update Microsoft Office 2007.
Yes you can, Microsoft now has a download to do this. although you may lose some formatting during the conversion. Also, advanced features from Office2007 will be disabled in Office2003. This is not a free upgrade. You can get all the details direct from Microsoft at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en Also, if you want to save Word 2007 documents to an earlier version so that people who don't have 2007 can open them, read this 'how to' article: http://www.ehow.com/how_4616739_save-open-word-documents.html
Some of the best features of Microsoft 2007 are that you can maintain and publish blogs directly from Office 2007. It is also more user friendly and easier to change the settings to what you want.

You can download a trial version of any of the Microsoft Office 2007 product lines here: http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/default.aspx?re_ms=txoohmtryoffice&culture=en-US Office 2007 Professional, Home & Student, Standard and Small Business editions all contain Microsoft Word.
The .doc suffix at the end of Microsoft Word filenames is short for "document." The suffix on computer filenames indicates the file's encoding convention (file format) rather than actual file content, but some do give you some clue about the type of content. For example, some files created with Microsoft Word end in .dot, indicating the file is a "document template." Moreover, the .doc suffix use only applies to versions of Microsoft Word prior to Office 2007. Word 2007 document files end in .docx, template files end in .dotx, macro-enabled document files end in .docm, and macro-enabled document template files end in .dotm.
