wwhitney said:I'm assuming that you're talking about show jumping as in jumping horses. The different types of jumps are: verticals (single), oxers (two verticals together, wide), water jump (very wide open water) and triple bar (3 ascending verticals close together). A vertical or oxer can be built with poles, panels... And verticals and oxers can be combined to create double or triple combinations. Generally the jumps in combinations are one or two strides apart. ELIStudent says: there is also the puissance, that is a competition on its own, some people include it as a showjumping jump others don't. Incase you don't know about it heres what it is: Its a big red wall that is made higher every round. You are out if you knock it down or one of the 'warming up jumps'. The warming up jumps are there for the first 3 round and for the first 2 round there are 2 then on the 3rd only 1 and after that there is none. The time does not matter and sometimes there is a limit to the rounds sometimes there isnt. It has been known that sometimes it can take 12 rounds to find a winner! Hope this helps
There are many types of jumps, such as the cross rail, the roll top, overs, verticals, panels, pickets. I just say jump.
They are called Show-jumpers. I compete in show-jumping courses with my own horse.
Hope this helps xx

you are in eventing.I read in some rules you can be penalised or eliminated, the best thing to do is make sure your hat is secure.
yes it is possible to jump side saddle, but not 6 ft jumps, only much lower and some of the wider type jumps.
Some good girl wiener dog names are.......... Daisy Cocoa Buttercup Rosey Popcorn (if she jumps a lot or really high) and that's all I got for right now
There are many different kinds of horse jumps: Vertical: a single straight up and down jump.Picture: Oxer: Spread jump. Two verticals next to each other. There are many different kinds of oxers: A ramped oxer: with the back rail higher than the front rail A square oxer: with both rails at the same height A swedish oxer: The poles slant in different directions creating the look of an X in the air. Other jumps: Triple Bar: like an oxer, is a spread jump. But this time with three verticals gradually getting higher. Cross rail: two poles going different directions creating an X There are other unique jumps used in some competitions (like a Wall, a liverpool, a Fan jump, the open water, and a hogsback) but the ones I mentioned are the most popular.
No you have to train a horse how to jump over logs+jumps, Not all horses are made for jumping horses!
You have to go and practice on your Dressage, Cross country and Show jumping via the trails thing. Take your horse out and follow the blue signs that will show jumps ( for jumping or X country) or a horse (for dressage). If you haven't built any yet then you're stuck I'm afraid. When or if you do practice on the courses, the points will take some times to show up on the horse's sheet.
they are different .................. some are 8. some are 10. some are 12. some are 14
It would be difficult to list all the names of jumping insects since more are discovered regularly. At present, there are about 9,000 different species of insect that jump in some way.
Some of the difficult equestrian jumps are most likely the ones that have a high fence. The fences are made to collapse, in case a horse were to get stuck jumping over it.
Well the equipment needed will vary a bit based on the level of jumping that is to be done. However there are some basics. You'll need a horse trained to jump to begin with. Then you'll need correct tack, a jumping saddle and fittings and an appropriate bridle and bit, and possibly a breast girth/plate.For the rider you'll need tan or white breeches, a white collard show shirt a show coat in navy, grey or black. Tall boots, field boots are more comfy than dress boots and a certified helmet. Then you'll need a ring to ride in and jumps to jump over, but shows provide those. I also recommend open front tendon boots for the horse, a safety vest for the rider, and training jumps to practice over.
treadmill cardio activities pressups crunches squats and stuff like that
There is long jump, high jump, hurdles, diving and probably a lot more. or do you mean show jumpimg(with a horse) if so do you mean ones like grand prix and puissance or olympia
Yes. You have to check the rules first though, as some show's only allow snaffle bits.
Some of them are Athletics, swimming, diving, shooting, show jumping , football etc..
