An Inside Look at Windows Vista Business?

Windows Vista Business is an operating system designed to be used in a business setting that offers computer users and network administrators increased security protection and other useful features. This version of Windows was preceded by Windows XP Professional and followed by Windows 7 in October 2009. Whiles Windows Vista is best known for some major changes to the Microsoft user interface, Windows Vista Business also introduces some major changes that are more relevant to the workplace. These changes range from new features that make it easier to manage large computer networks to new limits on what network users are able to change on their workplace computers. Here is an inside look at some of the most powerful features offered by Windows Vista Business. Following a plethora security concerns regarding the original version of the Windows XP operating system, Microsoft made a clear commitment to offering a tighter operating system when they designed Windows Vista Business. When it comes to using Windows Vista Business on a computer network, the most important new feature the Microsoft added to Windows is designed to protect the network from the biggest threat to security: employees. The new User Account Control feature, also known as UAC, significantly limits the types of activities that an average computer user is able to do on a workplace computer, such as downloading software, changing security setting or otherwise altering a computer’s configurations. As a result, Windows Vista Business makes it much less likely that an employee will inadvertently introduce malicious code onto a network or allow hackers to access important client information. Windows Vista Business also makes it easier than ever to manage complex security networks that have access points in a variety of regional locations. The new Windows Deployment Services features allows network administrators to load Windows Vista Business onto workplace computers remotely without require a tech to physically visit a site. Windows Vista Business also offers the new Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications that allows Windows to seamlessly work with network components running on UNIX. There is also a new display offered by Windows Vista Business that lets computer users and network administrators view policy settings on the Windows registry from nearly anywhere.
