Athena and Poseidon did not get along because they were rivals in being the Patron God of Athens. A contest was held to see which god could give Athenians a greater gift. Athena won by giving the Greeks an Olive tree.
Yes. But, often she fought with mortals like Arachne who disgraced the gods. But she got along well with the gods, but not Poseidon.
yes poseidon is real he is god of sea hurricane and volcanoes and horses along with ares zeus aphrodite athena hermes apollo artemis are all real but sadly they got over took by romans
I think you mean how did Poseidon get revenge on Athena. The pair did not get along. His sleeping with Medusa in her temple was one way, plus they competed to be the patron god of Athens. When he lost, he flooded the city and sent sea monsters after various heroes favored by Athena.
Athena isn't a particulairly mean goddess at all, but she doesn't like several characters in mythology. He uncle Poseidon competed with her for being the main god/goddess of the city of Athens. Athena won by creating and olive branch, hence the name "Athens" instead of "Posedons", so there's still a grudge. Aphrodite is the Goddess of Love and beauty and AThena is basically an eternal virgin, so they don't get along well. For mortals, Arachne got turned into a spider because she boasted that her weaving skills were better than Athena's (even though Athena actually CREATED weaving in general). Medusa insulted her by, um, romancing with Poseidon inside Athena's temple. Medusa got turned really ugly, with snake hair and weirdo eyes that turned people to stone. That's pretty much it.
Unfortunately, I only know one of the reasons. One of the reasons Athena and Poseidon dislike each other is because Athena was chosen as the patron of Athens and Poseidon was jealous therefore due to this jealousy they started a feud.
Annabeth explains that Poseidon and Athena don't get along because they have conflicting personalities and domains - Poseidon represents the sea and water, while Athena is the goddess of wisdom and warfare. Their rivalry can be traced back to a dispute over the patronage of the city of Athens, with Poseidon offering the city water, and Athena offering the olive tree.

Annabeth explains that Poseidon and Athena do not get along due to a rivalry over Athens, as they both wanted to be the city's patron god or goddess. Additionally, their differing domains - Poseidon being the god of the sea and Athena being the goddess of wisdom and war - also contribute to their discord. Their competitive natures and conflicting personalities further fuel their animosity towards each other.
Well Poseidon created saltwater spout and Athena created an olive tree. The people chose Athena olive tree and named the island of her. Poseidon and Athena don't get along because of that
I don't know who will narrate the Mark of Athena except for Annabeth, but I'm hoping that Percy, Jason, and Piper also narrate along with Annabeth.

Athena is not one of the Elder Three gods, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, but she is one of the Twelve Olympians. By the way, Athena is a goddess, not a god.
They were competing to be the patron of the new city. Poseidon, I believe, made a fountain or something as a gift to the new city. The citizens loved it- but then, Athena made the olive tree, a much better gift. So, they named the town Athens and Athena became the patron.
For one thing, they competed on who would be the patron god or goddess of Athens. Athena created a olive tree, and Poseidon created a saltwater spout. Athena won, and the competition obviously created some tension. In addition, Medusa was Poseidon's girlfriend, and they had arranged to "meet" in Athena's temple. This enraged Athena, and she turned Medusa into the snake- haired petrify-you-at-a-glance Medusa we commonly think of.
Poseidon and Athena had a rivalry because they both wanted to be the patron deity of Athens. In a contest, Athena's gift of the olive tree was deemed more valuable than Poseidon's gift of a saltwater spring, so Athena became the city's protector. This contest heightened the tension between the two gods.
