Roman Catholic AnswerNone. The Rosicrucians are a secretive brotherhood with its roots in Protestantism and "ancient, secret" knowledge. This has historically been known as gnosticism. The Society of Jesus is a Catholic religious order founded in the sixteenth century by St. Ignatius to serve the Holy Father, and to go into various lands to bring the Christian faith to those who had never heard it and to educate young men in Christian lands. St. Ignatius formed his "Society" to more perfectly imitate Our Blessed Lord and to do His Will.

Jesuits combined Catholic beliefs with Huguenot beliefs?

The Huguenots were the French protestants. The Jesuits were formed primarily to combat the protestant heresy. I don't know where you got this idea, but some of the stuff on the web for Huguenots and Jesuits suggest that the two were bitter enemies, and that the Huguenots were responsible in some way for the suppression of the Jesuits. Either way, there is no way that the Jesuits ever combined Catholic beliefs with protestant beliefs - that would give a lie to their whole reason for existing.

Why are Jesuits hated?

I never heard that the Jesuits were "hated". I know that the Jesuits were not welcome in protestant England, and Henry VIII, and his daughter, Elizabeth I, tortured and killed them as fast as they could find them. There was some rivalry in the East between the Franciscan and Dominican Missions, and the Jesuits, but nothing that I know of that amounted to hate. In the 18th century the Jesuits were suppressed by the Holy Father due to political pressure from various nations who were trying to maintain religion as a national interest, while the Jesuits were seen as international.

What are the names of the Marist Brothers' Jesuits?

Marist Brothers and the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) are two separate religious orders. Under church rules you can not be a member of two different orders (Actually that is a generalization and there are some very specific exceptions-but not for this situation.) It is possible to leave an order and join another, although the process is difficult and requires approval at the highest levels. There is no easy way to identify if any Marists eventually left and became Jesuits or vice versa. These records are probably maintained in Rome and would require a scholar's involvement to uncover. Please note that this is a different situation than when Marists work along side Jesuits in institutions affiliated with other orders. Jesuits and Marists share similar missions and they work sometimes work cooperatively,
