One traditional food for dinner is 'Hutspot'. It's one of the 'Stamppot' recipes. Stamppotten are mashed potatoes with vegetables all together with bacon or sausage. Hutspot for example is carrot with potatoes. They've also got some great snackbar stuff like a Frikandel (some kind of sausage) and kroket (croquette filled with meat ragout) and kaassouflé (with cheese, suitable for vegetarians).
Deserts could be:

boerekool (with rookworst, smoked sausage) and stampot
And the less frequently eaten poffertjes ('dutch pancakes', really small -usually about one inch diameter- pankaces)
